Nexus leaps at any chance we get to jump over to St. Louis. Whether it’s getting some bubble tea in the loop, or if it’s holed up in Kurasa’s lab learning the new loops. Outside of Boston and Columbus, Nexus considers St. Louis a home for gaming and most of our staff. We were ecstatic when we got the chance to provide next level gaming for Anime St. Louis.
Nexus brought a wealth of 40+ setups and 2 arcade machines for gamers to rejoice. Our Dance Dance Revolution Extreme machine was played throughout all hours nonstop and additionally we rejoiced at a refined players best list with top three songs being Leading Cyber, DXY, On the Jazz, and not Butterfly for once. On the Fighters we had our own St. Louis destroyer GLTY winning every match she had in MVC3. Fresh off her performance at Final Round she came in strong showing all the STL crew how to defend Dr. Doom mix-ups. Halo was well represented as always with our good friend Martin Ruiz winning the Halo Reach tournaments with ease. His extrodinarly loud and hilarious Sniper Rifle antics make him a spectacle to behold.
The game room and main events were jumping all hours thanks to the DJ efforts of Ranatulus, DJ Naps, Myself, and Andy Szawsum. We had a constant stream of Hardcore, Nustyle, D&B, and all the styles that had to con moving round the clock. We decided to name our sets cumultively the new “Beatnation Summit 2011”
All in all Nexus had a blast and we hope you were there and had a great time gaming or partying with us. We strive in the future to make every year as epic as the last and if you missed the celebration, you need to be here next year!
