In a long list of things, in which Nexus Gaming Alliance is involved in. We still love the ability to give more!
Just announced for 2012 is Ultimacon in New Orleans, LA. This does mark the first convention in Louisiana for NGA and we are very excited!
We also have a new sponsor on board at Nexus Gaming Alliance. More details will be posted about that later this week.
Prepare yourselves, it is going to be a great ride!

Tomorrow we start the journey from Florida to Alabama for Persacon! We caught some travel flaws this month, but it still did not stop us! Nexus Gaming Alliance rolls on and while we are ready to bring Persacon it’s greatest game room EVER. We have a month long stint coming up (and September is starting to shape up now too). Lots of road time with a ton of old faces as well as new.
Much looking forward to upcoming events.

Hi everyone, this is ranatalus. I’m one of the other heads, and I’m writing this as we head out from Florida Supercon. First things first, let me tell you something: driving to Florida is long. Take how long you think it is. It’s longer. It’s like when you go to one of those places that has the 40 oz steak that is free *IF* you eat it in like 20 minutes, and you get about halfway in and realize you still have over a pound of steak left to eat.
Also, when you drive through the everglades, you start seeing all sorts of like 10 foot high barbed wire fences which is more than a little scary. Have alligators learned to climb fences? What if they were to learn to fly?? The concept of flying alligators makes me want to pee myself. Like, a lot.
Anyway, the convention itself was pretty ok. Dance Masters as insanely popular for no real reason. Aw man, Ian is eating a chocolate chip cookie from Subway now. I wanted to try one of those raspberry cheesecake ones, so I asked for one of those plus one chocolate chips. They gave me two raspberry cheesecake. They were ok but really, it was just so weird to be like “I’m eating a cookie” and then your tongue to be like “this tastes like cheesecake wtf is this.”
Aw great now it’s raining and I’m getting rain on the screen. It feels nice though since it’s been constantly around 90 degrees with 90% humidity the entire time we’ve been here.I don’t want to damage my laptop so now I’m typ;ing this with the lid halfway down. I can’t see anything I’m typing so I am probably making typos.
Where was I? Oh right, Supercon. We hyad a 50-man Smash Brothers Brawl tournament where the winner got a *BRAND NEW* gamecube controller. Like, factory sealed and everything. They were pretty excited for that. At one point we were trying to download some DLC that we needed for some of the 360- games, buyt the hotel’s internt was not good (during a con, it never is) so we took Tyler’s laptop and tethered his phone and shared the connection to the 360. His computer was all like “lol i’m not giving you an IP address” and the xbox was like “pretty please
((((” and the laptop was likie “HAHAHA NO oops i’ve broken myself” and then it uninstilled all his networking. Then I downloaded a linux installer (because Tyler has a big beard you see) for him and he installed that and then his mouse didn’t work. OH SHIT A CROCODILE no wait that was just a tire.
Well, this is the best post-con writeup ever! I’m not going to proofread because I’M TOO HOT
